It’s important to have a strong and flexible back to play golf well and avoid injury. In this quick 2-minute yoga video, John shows us 4 yoga poses to stretch and strengthen your whole body with a focus on the back muscles:
1. Cat-cow stretches your whole back, and strengthens your core.
2. Downward dog stretches out your back, shoulders, arms, legs, calves, and feet.
3. Cobra pose stretches your back, abdominals, and arms.
4. Child’s pose stretches out your back, hips, psoas, and groin muscles.
You don't need any special equipment to get in shape. A mat is recommended. Listen to your body and modify accordingly.
