Warming up before a round of golf can increase your flexibility and focus. The back and shoulders can be a source of tension for many of us. Keeping these muscles flexible will also help you avoid golf injury, and make everyday life a little easier, especially as you age.
In this quick 5-minute yoga warmup, follow along as we loosen up the muscles in the shoulders, between the shoulders blades, and upper and lower back with three simple yoga poses:
1. Sphynx
2. Reverse plank
3. Laying spinal twist
This golf stretch routine is designed for golfers of all levels, and is suitable for beginner, intermediate, and advanced golfers, as well as seniors and older golfers. The exercises should be modified and customized as described to suit your individual fitness level.
